After leaving a toddler on a bus for more than five hours in the heat of Central Queensland, two childcare providers avoided going to jail.

TAFE Queensland is offering fee-free entry-level Certificate III qualifications in Early Childhood Education and Care. The qualification is the minimum requirement for early childhood settings in Australia. 

In a historic step for Queensland education and early learning, kindergarten will be free for Queensland families.  Kindy will be free for eligible-aged children who attend a government-approved program offering free kindy from 1 January 2024.

After some distressing and regrettable incidents in early childhood services in Queensland, many parents think that the sign-in and sign-out process in childcare services should be reassessed, more tough and strong so further incidents can be avoided.
