CHCECE007- Exceeding Task and Unable To Complete Task

Post by MiaaLee » Tue Sep 13, 2016 1:48 pm

Hello,
I am having trouble with this question and was wondering if you could point me in the right direction as I'm quite lost.

Explain how you would respond positively to a child who is:
A. Exceeding expectations for their ability to complete a task
B. Not able to undertake a task that the other children of the same age are able to complete

So far I have
- You can use the same activity but with the child that unable to undertake the task you could use an easy alternative or give him more direction

But what could you say to both the children without making them have low self eestem or saying the other ones really smart?

a) I see you have been practicing and you're quite confident at it, let's try another one.
b) I can see you're trying really hard to complete this task, would you like me to work with you to complete it?
