The following lists cultural and special events that are taking place in August 2020. This should help you to plan and organise for upcoming events and celebrations for August 2020.

Lego and Building Blocks are a favourite activity for young children. From toddlers, they start with Mega Blocks, Duplo and as they grow older move onto the classic Lego. Did you know that these are all compatible with each other? So you don't have to get rid of Building Blocks or Lego pieces as they all fit.

On 7 August, is it Jeans for Genes Day, this is raising awareness, finding cures for sick kids and supporting the Children’s Medical Research Institute by wearing your best denim and making a donation.

On 4th August, all Australians have the opportunity to show their support for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, as well as learn about the crucial impact that culture, family and community play in the life of every Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander child.

From 3 to 7 August, it is Early Learning Matters Week. This is a week to raise awareness and celebrate the importance of early childhood education.
