The safest way to combat such issues is to opt for organic formulations which replace harmful chemicals with nature-based ones. The following article provides information on using green cleaning products in an early childhood service.

The Reduce, Reuse, Recycle Posters are a good reminder for Educators and children on what items are to be reduced, reused and recycled. These can be displayed within a recycling area set up in the service to promote a sustainable environment.

Children will be excited to see how the colours transform overtime as the water moves from one glass to another.

Natural materials should be an integral element of children’s play. They are easily accessible and encourage children to learn about nature, foster creativity, imagination and discovery.

The Caring For The Environment Posters is great to use to show children and the community how to care for the environment. These are little tips that can be used as reminders of how we can all care for the environment. These posters will enable children to demonstrate an increasing knowledge of and respect for natural and constructed environments.

This simple activity enables children to recognise colours by sorting each of the colour dots to the correct colour toothbrush. The colour dots are to be cut out for children to sort and match the colour dots for each toothbrush. Children can also use pom pom, playdough, coloured blocks and more. This activity will help children to correctly identify different colours.

The Teeth Cut and Paste is a simple activity that enables children to cut out and paste the foods to the correct teeth. The bad foods go to the bad teeth and the good foods go onto the good teeth. This is great for children to understand the impact of foods and the effect they have on teeth.

Children can practice counting from 1 to 10 with these fun teeth counting worksheets. Children count the teeth on the worksheet and colour/paint/add counters/add cotton balls/add blocks etc. to the corresponding number of teeth in the mouth. These can also be used as playdough mats with children adding playdough to the mouth matching the number.
