CHCECE021 - Resource Booklet

Post by sarahdemou » Mon Jul 20, 2015 12:13 am

Hi i just wanted an example of a resource booklet. I havent worked in a child care yet and most questions require you to study some children. could anyone help me?

You are required to develop a practical resource booklet that could be used in the workplace to support and improve knowledge and practice
this task can be completed by... ive chosen, internet research within the workplace

your task: you are required to collect resources that prove your knowledge of :
range of additional needs that may be identified and the implications for the role of the educators, including:
behavior or psychological disorders
child at risk of harm or illness
family circumstances and needs
health problems
physical,sensory or developmental disability
strategies that encourage participation
understanding of different backgrounds, experiences and needs of children and families in exceptional circumstances or with additional needs
organisation standards, polices and procedures.
Explain in 300 words how these resources will support you and your coworkers in your job as an educator.

I'm guessing by the sounds of the question, a Resource Booklet can just be a folder of Fact Sheets on the topics mentioned. Within each fact sheet you would also need to include how to support knowledge and practice. So, when lookinng for information just make sure that it is specific for childcare and it has "strategies" included.

Hope this helps,
