CHCORG506E - Developing A Orientation Plan For Trainee With No Prior Knowledge

Post by Linh » Sat Jan 02, 2016 9:39 pm

I hope someone can help with this, or give me a hint...please!!!
"For this task you are required to develop an orientation plan for a trainee. You may assume the trainee has no knowledge of policies procedures, is not aware of licensing requirements, and has never heard of and quality assurance or curriculum frameworks.
1. Devise a two month orientation program for the trainee-you may assume the trainee is full-time and has four hours per week available for on-the-job training. You will need to:
a. Identify and prioritise the information to be provided to the trainee over the two month period
b. Describe the range of strategies that you will use to introduce the trainee to the information
c. Describe the strategies you will use to assist the trainee to understand how the information is applied to practice
d. How you will review the trainee's orientation program and ensure that the trainee understands and can apply the information
e. Identify the resources (human and physical) that you will need to access as part of the orientation program,

So basically for this assignment you need to tell the trainee all they need to know about childcare from licensing to regulations, eylf and all. So, you need to prioritise which information you should teach the trainee first which would probably be supervision and workplace health and safety, regulations, followed by policies and procedures, nqs and eylf etc. Using this, you should devise a plan for the trainee:

The following may help:

The NQS
Legislations and Regulations
Information Sheets

Hope this can get you started,
