CHCFC506A - Interaction Styles

Post by Kubra » Tue Oct 04, 2011 3:33 pm

I dont know how right this is but i feel like it is wrong. I have a question asking me to write a 500 word report that describes your interaction style in the early childhood education centre, in your response describe, how you have provided opportunities for children to listen, respond, discuss in groups, link language, and respond to open ended questions.

for this question i first thought that an interaction style could be linking language to all interests, activities, routines and directions but when i got half way down the page i felt like i was doing it wrong. SO PLEASE! if you know or have an example or what an interaction style may be, help!

Thanks
Kubra

Hey Kubz,

From what I understand of your question I think it is asking to describe experiences that happened with a group of children, where you "provided opportunities for children to listen, respond, discuss in groups, link language, and respond to open ended questions".

For example: Mary brought in a new book that her mum had bought her over the weekend. As Mary was showing us her book I asked her if it was alright if I was able to read it to the rest of the children. Mary was very excited to share her new story. I gathered all the children around and began to read the story called. The story was about different animals in the jungle. After reading the story I initiated a group brain storm on animals they recall from the story that are in the jungle. During this discussion Mary suggested that she would like to paint a tiger because that is her favorite animal. This led onto another discussion about each of the children's favorite animal....

I'm pretty sure that is what the question is asking... how YOU would interact with the children...

Hopefully This Helps!

Cheers :geek:,

I am also having bit of trouble with this question so today when my teacher visited i asked her. It has something to do with learning styles that we would use. I remember doing something like this in my cert 3 and she gave me some names but do you think i can think of them now, no. Can anyone help?
