Wages

Post by Newywood » Tue May 30, 2023 12:16 pm

Just curious as to what my hourly rate should be?? At the moment it’s a flat rate of $20 an hour said to be above award wage. I’m currently doing cert3 traineeship. Adult - 5yrs+ out of school & HSC done.
I’m hearing this isn’t right. I would just like clarification and the right pay 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️
Thank you

Hi!

As an adult trainee, you will be on the highest level of the Miscellaneous Award (Level A) trainee wage, which is $738/per week. This works out to be around $19.42/per hour. Since you are getting $20/per hour you are earning above-award rates. So, yes you are getting above the correct rate of pay.
