An Australian researcher Dr Helen Adam, has warned that classic and popular children's stories could be harmful to children as they fail to portray diverse characters. 

The Healing Foundation’s Stolen Generations Resource Kit for Educators and Children has been created to educate young people about the Stolen Generations. It makes it easy for the community to start the conversation and inform discussions using facts, real examples and stories.

The Australian Reptile Park has developed a new experience, Inclusive Kids 2 Keeper is a brand-new zookeeper experience, modified to be inclusive and accessible for children ages 7-18 who are living with a disability. This experience will give children with sensory processing disorders, autism, or reduced mobility the opportunity to experience a Kids 2 Keeper tour, alongside their carers.

These types of questions allow the adults in a child's life to gather information in order to better guide the child. These can be used as a display to remind Educators of inquiry-based learning questions to ask children.

Hot Chocolate Marshmallow Count is a fun "winter theme" counting activity that children can do. Children need to recognise and identify the number on the cup and add the correct number of marshmallows on each hot chocolate. This is a great way for children to recognise and learn numbers and one-to-one correspondence. This can be used in various ways, including with playdough where children can make their own marshmallows out of playdough, and laminated children can draw their own marshmallows.
