Be You offers a range of free online, evidence-based tools and resources aimed at improving the skills and knowledge of educators to foster and support mental health and well being in children and young people. It’s completely free and available to every educator, early learning service, and school in Australia.
Be You offers a suite of Professional Learning aimed at building your skills and knowledge around mental health and well being for children, young people and families. It’s been developed to meet the needs of educators from a diverse background of experience and knowledge. Educators benefit from:
- access to comprehensive online Professional Learning, with reflective questions tailored to the career stage
- a common language and shared understanding of mental health and what educators can do to promote a mentally healthy learning community
- a deeper understanding of common mental health concerns across development stages and the supports and services available to assist with them.
Be You brings together and builds on five evidence-based but disconnected programs – KidsMatter Early Learning, KidsMatter Primary, MindMatters, ResponseAbility and headspace School Support. But for the first time, Australia will have a single, integrated initiative that encompasses a child’s entire education, including the important transition points.
