Becoming a centre director

Hi another career post from me :)
I am just about to start my Batchelor of primary teaching and have another 6 weeks to decide-> but in wharfs to becoming a child care centre director would I need to actually do a degree or can you get to that role via a diploma of early childhood edu & Care?

You can become a Director through a Diploma qualification, although since the necessity of having an ECT within a centre now I often see that an ECT is also the role of a Director. This is mainly due to the fact that the ECT only has to do a certain amount of ECT hours in the preschool room depending on a number of children so it's easier to combine an ECT with a Director role. This doesn't mean that all centres will adopt this method, it's just what I've seen at some centres...
