For this task you are required to complete entries in your journal to document when you have used diversity and inclusivity in your daily practice.
1. Please document at least once in your journal when you have supported cross-cultural relationships through each of the following activities.
1. An occasion when you interacted in a culturally appropriate way with the child in your setting.
* How did this occur? How successful were you? What learnings did you gain from the interaction?
2. An occasion when you interacted in a culturally appropriate way with a family member.
* How this occur? How successful were you? What learnings did you gain from the interaction?
3. An occasion where you have included diversity and inclusion in your daily practice.
* How will you ensure that you continue to use this in your daily practice?
* How will you continue to refine and improve upon your cross-cultural practices.
2. For a two-day period of your work placement (or the period of your journal), plan your workdays with a particular focus on how you will provide culturally-safe
environment that supports all children in your care. This plan should include every-day tasks, programs and experiences and each day must include at least one activity
that encourages children to respect cultures and celebrate cultural differences.
You should record your experience and reflection on how these two days eventuated in the appropriate table in your journal.
