Scenario:
Today Zennie is going to show me how she will plan to support Harry’s development. I was quite surprised when Zennie said that she would like me to help her set some goals for Harry. I didn’t think that I could be so involved! Yesterday we looked at the communication book which will tell me all the details of Harry’s day, what he ate, how long he slept and when his nappy was changed. Zennie sings a lot to the children and is always smiling. Harry just loves her. I have learnt some of the songs and have started to sing them to Harry at night before he goes to sleep

Question:
How do the service policies and procedures reflect quality care practices?

Answer:
Service policies and procedures reflect the quality of care practices in the service as the educator documents Harrys day. Zennie documents what Harry eats, how long he slept, everytime his nappy had to be changed, she also writes a blurb of what Harry did throughout the day. By having this documented it allows the parents to see that Harry is getting quality care while at the centre.
It also reflects the quality of care practices in the service by having Zennie include Harrys parents by setting developmental goals for harry to achieve

Feedback:
Great, you are on the right track, however how else educator is demonstrating quality practices. There are more very important practices in addition to documenting child’s care routine.

Thank you!
