Post by Bekann » Mon Jun 16, 2014 11:56 am

Your Assignment Module Number and Heading: Module 3 - Provide for Children's Developmental Needs
Your Assignment Type: Standard Question
Currently Working in Childcare? Yes
Your knowledge: Basic Knowledge

Your Question?
What key theories impact on social development of children 0-6 years in your service?

Which theorist on development best links to your beliefs on the care and education you provide and why?

What is your answer so far or What have you done so far as an attempt to solve this question?
I'm really stuck on these 2 questions.

Are these the theorists?
Erik Erikson
Edward Thorndike
John Bowldy
Jean Piaget
Sigmund Freud
Confucius
Lev Vygotsky

So the key theories that impact on social development are:
Optimism and Hope
Independence and Self Esteem
Use of Initiative

Yes,the list of theorists you have provided is fine but the question asks about the social development of the children at your centre specifically. Just choose one of the theorists in the list and explain how that supports the children in their social development at your centre....
