CHC50213 - Scenario: Core Program For Sally's Children

Post by jadira » Mon Dec 19, 2016 5:46 pm

scenario:
Sally tells you that her children have been of home with her up till now and as such have very erratic routines. She would like there to be more consistency with their routines. They eat when they like and spend most of their afternoons playing computer games.

Suggesting with this question or any help would be great
How will you negotiate and support a core program for Sally’s children?

Such things as:

- having specific times for eating and snacks
- break the day's routine up into different times to focus on a particular activity so the children can become engaged in activities.
- offer outdoor play as part of the routine
- ask the children what they would like to do during the day
- have a consistent bedtime that Sally can use at home
- find the children's interests and strengths to develop the program

Hope this helps!
