Check out this article available in our Resources page, under Childcare Professionals. It is called Behavior Management In Childcare. It will provide you with strategies to support you in positively guiding children's behavior.

Sorry, I'm so used to answering assignment questions! :giggle:

The knowledge and skills to guide positive behavior?

Understanding child's developmental domains such as social and emotional and cognitive development for their respective age. Techniques and strategies which can be used when guiding behavior. Knowledge of child's background, home situation, changes in family circumstances, child's temperament etc.

"how to teach children about respecting the rights of others?".

Explaining to children about other cultures, differences and similarities between people, respecting elders etc.

allowing children to learn from there own mistakes without any punishments ?"

Clearly explain limitations to children, allowing children to explain their understanding of their mistake, pointing out a possible solution for their mistake, letting children know what they did wasn't right, providing alternate solutions to problems.

Hope this helps,

:giggle: Miss T, maybe you can take up another qualification so I could help you out....lol... I don't mind helping others out but sometimes it does my head in, especially when students don't make the effort themselves...
