Compulsory staff meeting

Post by Kelbelle » Mon Sep 20, 2021 10:25 am

Hi, I am a long term casual at a centre with compulsory staff meetings. All the permanent staff get time off in lieu. Do I have a right not to attend (next one is online due to Covid) or insist I be paid?

If you are attending a staff meeting outside your normal hours of work then you should be compensated for it, either with time in lieu or be paid. Everyone should be compensated while attending regardless if you are casual/permanent.
