Working towards qualification

Post by Tigers20 » Tue Aug 22, 2023 9:54 pm

Hi all,

I currently have my Cert III and decided to study my diploma, unfortunately I have fallen behind in my study, I haven't submitted a unit for 2 months but have worked on the assignment. The course I enrolled into is self paced and i paid for the course. I was told by my work I am not allowed to work at all if I'm not actively working towards my qualification is this true? Even though I hold a qualification already. Just doesn't make sense to me. I am behind but i have worked on my assignments just not completed a unit recently.

You have probably already found the answer already. But in case anyone else was wondering:

As long as you’re working as a cert three educator than no, you don’t have to be actively working towards your diploma. However, if your service is using you to satisfy the minimum Diploma educator ratio (which is 50%) then yes, you will have to be actively working towards your qualification. The same is true if you are working as a lead educator.

Hope this helps!
