Hello
Can you please provide some guidance on how I go about opening a creche/occasional care for weekends. I haven't had any luck in finding any helpful information and have called ACECQA but they were unable to help as its not CCS approved.
Thanks Ali D

Re: Opening a creche
Hi!
I have the following information which may help. It is aimed for WA however if you another state, you could still find the information useful and use it as a general guideline.

Re: Opening a creche
Hi Ali,
Assuming your not looking to open and operate occasional childcare with a
provider or service approval I think you might have better luck contacting your local council and or state/territory regulatory authority.
Councils in particular are good because a lot of things go through them zoning, permits etc
From my general understanding creches are usually attached to a business of some kind, so you would need one to start up, have access to one, or some kind of building/facility to look after children from.
I think most are run either by private business, community organisations or are approved long day cares styled as creches
Another option if possible is to contact creches in your area and seek some basic information that way.
There isn't a lot of information out there, but creches exist in almost every state/territory so there must be a way to open one!
Found a couple of things - links below
Good luck!
