Help with Personal Philosophy for a Childcare Cook

Post by MsEm » Wed Jun 18, 2014 8:33 pm

Hiya Everyone,

I recently started working as a centre cook and have been asked to write up a personal philosophy - I have a couple of ideas of what to touch on (ie importance of good nutrition, multicultural meals etc) but can't find any examples online to compare and get ideas. Any advice/help is much appreciated! :)

I've got a food philosophy from Jamie Oliver which you can read to get an idea of what you can possible add to yours:

https://www.jamieoliver.com/philosophy

I'm also adding the "Get up and Grow - Cooks Guidebook".This has a lot of information in regards to food and nutrition in early childhood and you can probably use some of the information from here in your own philosophy. It also has recipe ideas, menu samples and planning etc.

Hope this helps,
