Assisting Educators In Designing A Curriculum

Post by niddy71 » Fri Oct 23, 2015 2:08 pm

Hi,

I answered this Q but not good enough..

This is what I wrote..
Planning is a dynamic and ongoing process that involves working in partnership with children and families. Consult with children and families on an on-going basis will make for effective planning that begins with the gathering of rich information about children, families, community as it will open opportunities and experiences to support play and learning of the children.

Trainer said... Its not only the planning of curriculum ....

I have added this now....But don' even think its right still..

Under the NQF, there is a legal obligation on education and care services to implement an approved educational program. This is clearly described in the NQS Quality Area 1 – Educational program and practice.
The educational program should contribute to the following learning outcomes:
Children have a strong sense of identity and that they connect and contribute to their world.
That all children have a strong sense of well being and are confident and involved learners and that they are effective communicators.

Standard 1.2
Educators and coordinators are focused, active and reflective in designing and delivering the program for each child.
Element 1.2.1
Each child's learning and development is assessed as part of an ongoing cycle of planning, documenting and evaluation.

I think I am way off track....Any help would be great please....

Have a look at the following document. It will give you information and examples on each of the Quality Areas which you could probably include in your response.

Guide to the NQS

Hope this helps,
