Re: CHCPRT001 Assessment
Hi Alexsa,
As an educator child protection is one of the most important things you must know.
Recommend you:
- google and read about child protection laws & regulation in your state or territory to start building your knowledge base. There are plenty of resources available
- try a free online child protection course to reinforce your understanding (the Victorian government offers 1)
- when you feel ready select 1 of the care types and have a go at answering all the questions and post it so you can get some feedback on this forum.

Re: CHCPRT001 -identify and respond to children and young people at risk
Hi All, I am new here. I hope I am posting in right forum.
I have a question here if any one can help me to answer some questions. it is my first assignment. so I am not sure if I am doing it right or not.
Case study:- Child disclosed about the physical abuse by mum's partner. she also mentioned the bruise on her thigh. also said how he gets angry after drinking beers. left her locked in cupboard for the whole night. also hits her mum. it includes domestic violence as well.
question:-
describe the steps you would follow as a result of you observation about Lucy. include how you will abide by..
1. the policies and procedures of your education workplace.
your responsibilities of duty of care and
the legislation in your state/territory(QLD) regarding child protection.
Thanks in advance

Implement an experience (activity) with at least three (3) children aged 3-5 years and adjust it as needed to provide challenge and appropriate risk taking.
During the activity:
1. Respond positively to the varying abilities and confidence of all children
2. Acknowledge children’s efforts and achievements
3. Adapt the experience to challenge and encourage risk taking
