Hey guys, Ive answered a question on planning menus for 6 - 12 month olds, and I was wondering if anyone could give me some pointers on my answer. The question and answer are below
Use the table provided to plan a menu for one week. The format requires you to plan for lunch, morning tea, afternoon tea and a late snack. You should include all of these meals in your plan regardless of whether they are provided by your service or not. The infants in your care are aged 6 – 12 months.
NB You should take the following into account: the Dietary Guidelines for Australians, the healthy living pyramid, a wide range of recipes including both hot and cold meals, the age of the children and the foods that are suitable for their developmental abilities, what children like and the meal patterns of children

Hey Steffelz,
I think the menu plan you provided is good… You’ve included a variety of foods! I noticed that you only offered milk for morning tea and late snack. I think it’s more beneficial to offer milk at afternoon tea rather than late snack because it fits into each child’s daily requirements. If you offer it at late snack there may be only 10 children out of 20, so only those 10 children left meet the dairy requirements. I think that’s the only change that needs to be made. I am also attaching some nutritional/food info which you can use to see if you covered the children’s daily nutritional requirements.

BTW - Thanks for the module number!
