CHCECE009 - Scenario: Applying For A Job

Hello

at the moment i am doing task B case study

and i need some help.

Scenario
A job notice for a childcare Educator is in the local paper. the ad for the position is as follows:

The best ever childcare center is looking for an educator to join our team

The ideal applicant will be proactive, motivated and committed, with a strong work ethic and a caring nature
daily duties will include but not limited to:

Assisting in caring for and educating children
learning all aspects of childcare
assisting in various areas of the centre
working towards a certificate 111 in childrens services
applicants must have:
a passion for childcare and working with children
some experience within childcare is essential
an understanding of the NQF and EYLF

write a cover letter for this position providing detailed information on each of the criteria points above, making sure you reference your knowledge of the EYLF and how you will include the outcomes, principles and practices into your work.

OK, so you have to pretend that you want this job and basically apply for it. A cover letter tells a little about yourself and what makes you the best candidate for the job so they will pick you. The cover letter, is where you sell yourself and what an employer reads before they get to your resume. The following may help on the EYLF:

You could include something like:

- following and extending on children's interests and skills
- discussing with parents their child's routine and implementing this within the service (especially for babies)
- understand basic skills for caring for children (toilet training, changing nappies first aid) etc.
