Sustainability Management Plan

Post by gouldy7 » Sun Jan 25, 2015 11:57 am

Level of Risk:
Protecting children, families and educators from any risks and minimisation of the likelihood of potential incidents, accidents and emergencies is essential. Identify any potential risks relevant to the initiatives you have included in the plan

Sustainability options to maintain the initiative:
Including education for sustainability assists to improve the program, however, maintaining sustainable programs and practices require specific actions. Identify at least 1 action to maintain each of the initiatives included in the Sustainability management plan .
Important:
Your 3 initiatives must consider the following:
• 1 improvement for environmental sustainability (consider key global issues)
• 1 improvement for social/innovation sustainability
• 1 improvement for economical sustainability

Teachers Comment
for the sustainability plan you need to include more details in all the columns of the plan. Strategies to foster sustainability and encourage behavioural changes (observed in the service educators and children) need to link to NQS, EYLF or My time our place.
• More details is needed in your strategies to consullt with children, having conversation examples would be ideal.. In sustainability options to maintain the initiative you will need to extend more in your answers on how you will support child or parents etc

I am unsure of how to add more detail please help my attempt is in the attachments

I had a read through your responses and you seem to be on the right track. The responses you have given are valid but you need to include more information. I think at this point you just need some more ideas on what you could include. For this I am providing you with a few documents on sustainability in early childhood. From this information it should give you further ideas in order to add more to your plan.

Climbing The Little Green Steps
Eco Resource Kit For Early Childhood

I hope these documents provide you with enough detail to get you back on track to complete your assignment,

You have added so much more information then you had previously. The examples you have shown are much more detailed and I think that you are definitely on the right track! Good responses by the way!

Hope you are able to pass this assignment,
