Hi
Could someone please help me with the following.
Describe three ways a carer could extend a child's language development by using material from the child's culture.
Give examples of the materials and activities.
Thanks
Kristal

Re: CHCFC506A - Using Materials To Support Child's Culture
Does it say what age the child is?
Off the top of my head I would say, songs from that childs culture would help
Read stories from that childs culture, so if the child is Japanese you could read a Japanese story in English to the class
Activities where you would include cultural elements. Again Japanese, you could make sushi and talk about the ingredients as well as its eaten in Japan, show them where it is on a globe etc
