There has been a product safety recall from Product Safety Australia for the Jumbo Wooden Xylophone and Big W Girls Bomber Jacket.
The following will provide information on the defect, hazard and what to do.
1) Musical Jumbo Wooden Xylophone - Sold from 12 September 2017
Description:
The product is a wooden musical instrument toy for children aged 18 months and over. It consists of a wooden base, shaped like the profile of an elephant with five coloured metal keys. Also included is a wooden beater, consisting of a dowel with a coloured wooden ball attached to one end.
Defect:
The affected toys may not comply with the mandatory safety standards for toys for children up to and including 36 months of age (Consumer Protection Notice No. 14 of 2003, as amended by Consumer Protection No. 1 of 2005).
Small parts may detach from the products.
Hazard:
If small parts detach from the product, they pose a choking hazard to young children.
What to do:
Consumers are advised to cease using the product. Registered consumers will be sent a return address envelope for them to return the complete beater and a replacement will be provided with an incentive product/voucher/discount.

2) BIG W — B Collection Toddler Girls Bomber Jacket - Sold From 5 February 2018 - 22 February 2018
Description:
Article numbers: 1003587, 1003588, 1003589, 1003590, 1003591, 1003592. The article number can be found on the care label.
Defect:
The zipper slider may detach from the zipper.
Hazard:
A detached zipper slider may pose a potential choking hazard to a child.
What to do:
Customers should immediately cease using the jacket and return it to any BIG W store for a full refund.
If you have any of these items please remove them from your child's environment and return them, as they have defects and may cause harm to your child.
