The NSW Office of the Children's Guardian has developed a SAFE Series Protective Behaviors Program, which helps early childhood educators teach protective behaviours to children in their care. After the session, your service will receive 2 sets of SAFE Series books featuring our loveable SAFE Series stars Sam, Andy, Fiona, and Eve to help adults start conversations with young children about personal safety.
The webinar will cover:
- learning objective which link to the child safe personal safety messages
- practical hints, tips and tools to make the personal safety messages resonate with children
- points of discussion for engaging children.
- ready-made activities for children to complete and better understand how the content of the books relates to them
The NSW Office of the Children’s Guardian is proud to offer their protective behaviours program which includes the following characters: Sam, Andy, Fiona, Eve, and Mandu.They’re the stars of the SAFE series, a set of four books and one animation containing protective behaviour messages aimed at children 2-6 years old.
The SAFE series books and animations are a free resource that will be made available only to staff of the Organisation attending this webinar and working in NSW.
The SAFE Series Protective-behaviours Program is not NESA accredited and certificates are not issued.
