Hi guys,
So I am the Group Leader in the Junior Kindy Room (2.5yrs to 3yrs old)
And I am stuggling with ideas for our science and nature corner, at the moment its just an empty bookshelf!
My assistant does have her pet Axolotyl and another fish tank with goldfish but that's it.
Any ideas?
Tay

Re: Ideas for Science and Nature Corner
Hey some things we have for nature in our preschool room are pine cones, shells, wood, branches of wood, stones, synthetic grass etc. We also have a vegetable garden outside, and inside we have a hermit crab and a caterpillar set up (both easy to look after) which the children often visit/explore.

Wooden baskets with shells, stones, flowers, sticks, pine corns, feathers, leaves. Used for classifying on size, colour, texture, environment etc. in small opened boxes. Books on nature. Magnify glass, rulers. Indoor hanging plants and indoor garden. Change items when interest develops.
