Following basic food safety practice
1. Keep food items for disposal separate from uncontaminated food, and follow food disposal procedures
1.1 Reflect on two occasions of when disposed of waste food. Complete the following:
Occasion 1:
a) Identify the waste food and reason for disposing of it.
Left –over food: (meal times)
• Food is been bite and could have germs
• Food was taken out the fridge.[/color]
b) How did you dispose of the waste food?
• I throw food scraps in the bin
• I disposed any fruit and vegetable scraps in the compost bin
c) How did you ensure it was kept separate from other food?
• Food scraps were throw in the bin after finishing eating
• Any fruit or vegetables scraps were collect on small bucket and them throw in the compost bin.
