If a gym has a creche, does the person looking after these children need any qualifications.

I am in qld.
And at the moment there is only 5 but numbers could pick up.

No, as far as I understand creche's dont follow the typical regulaltions and practices that a typical early childhood setting would use. So, it creche's slightly differ as in they dont need to follow the regulations rules:

In QLD, a care facility in a gym is referred to as 'adjunct care', which appears in the QLD Education and Care Services Act 2013. Adjunct care is unregulated, however there are certain requirements around it (for it to be classed as adjunct care), such as - the parent must remain on the premises, and care can't be for more than 3 hours each time. The QLD Regulatory Authority can take complaints about adjunct care services, however, when they visit, it would only be on an advisory basis, as they have no powers under the Act to make the business owner comply with any requirements, such as around staff:child ratios, or staff qualifications.
