Planning Opportunity To Promote Children's Learning

Hi all,

I am just finishing off my Assignment on 'Using Information About Children' the last questions says:

"For each of the 3 children, suggest one planning opportunity which could promote that child's learning and development. Link each suggestion to the EYLF"

Now my question is, when is says planning opportunity does that mean I could plan an experience that is related to what their current interests are. For example, a child who is interested in the movie Frozen. Could I introduce an experience of dancing to the variety of Frozen songs. Up-beat and slow songs so they are developing how to appropriately move their body to the speed of the music.

Or am I completely off track?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

That's exactly right!

Another experience could be for a child interested in the movie Frozen is to discuss ice, how it becomes hard, how snow forms, how it melts into water etc.
