CHCCHILD401A Identify and respond to children and young people at risk

Post by Kristal » Fri Jul 15, 2011 10:58 am

I am currently working on CHCChild401A and need some advice on compling with lawful instructions, regulations and duty of care in all work activities. Do they mean examples like ensuring the children have a hat and sunscreen on before going outside to play? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Kristal

Hey Kristal,

I think with this question they are asking about how you a member of staff can comply with regulations etc... such as wearing gloves when handling food, changing a child's nappy when needed, applying basic first aid when a child hurts themselves, making sure the environment/equipment is safe for the children etc...

I have attached a copy of the Childcare Regulation. Just have a browse through to get some ideas on what the regulation states... you can possibly use these ideas for your assignment...

Hope this helps!
