system to evaluate your performance as a Leader

Post by dawniejane66 » Mon Jun 23, 2014 3:31 pm

I have to develop a checklist to self evaluate my own performance
the things I have to consider are
[*]Goal setting
[*]Measuring performance
[*]Time Management
[*]Identifying personal behaviour
[*]Self Awareness
[*]Personality traits
[*]Code of Ethics of guiding your practice

Im totally lost and don't know where to start and would appreciate some help

Thanks

OK, so you basically need to address each point in the question...

1) Set your goals (long term and short term) - you can probably use the EYLF sub outcomes to help you:

How Educators Can Promote EYLF Learning Outcomes

2) Measuring performance - http://www.orau.gov/pbm/handbook/1-1.pdf

3) Time management - http://www.counselingcenter.illinois.ed ... anagement/

4) Identifying personal behaviour - whether you are calm, stressed, get angry easily, anxious etc. You need to identify the behaviours you display at work.

5) Self Awareness - http://www.pathwaytohappiness.com/self-awareness.htm

6) Personality traits - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Big_Five_p ... ity_traits

7) Code of Ethics of guiding your practice - http://www.earlychildhoodaustralia.org. ... b_2010.pdf

With all the information I have provided you should be able to get a head start on what each point requires you to discuss. Remember this is a self-evaluation and it should be honest...

Hope this helps,
