Educational Leader time

Post by kylienp » Wed Feb 13, 2013 4:10 pm

I am the Educational Leader for my service and was just wondering how other Educational Leaders spend their time and document what they are doing. I am lucky and receive allocated time each week so I use this to complete monthly program checks, observe practices in the rooms and offer feedback/suggestions on the program. Is there any other suggestions on how to spend my time? I am also unsure how to document what it is that I'm doing so I can show it to the Assessor during Rating and Assessment.

Depends how long you get... Just a few ideas...

What about child observations, completing portfolios, gathering materials/information for possible experiences, adding stuff around the room such as signs, posters, crafts, photos etc. I loved having time to get all my tid bits done throughout the week!!
