Newchild care Fees-at 60 percent

Post by anna76 » Sat Jun 09, 2018 1:52 pm

Hi Everyone. I have been sent info on what rate I will get for new childcare fees starting 2nd of July. Its at about 60 percent.
I have my kids in a long day care centre and the hourly rate is $12.50 or something-so I know I would get the 60 percent of the 10 something etc etc and the difference but what about in terms of a day care centre- where its a daily cap rate at $90 per child?
How does the 60 percent work?

Here is the information I have found:

How do hourly rate caps work?

If your service charges a daily fee, the hourly rate will be determined by dividing the daily fee by the hours the service operates. Your service will tell us their standard session fees and how long the session is, and we will use the hourly rate cap to help us calculate how much to pay; just like Child Care Benefit is currently worked out on an hourly rate (around $4.30 per hour).

I also have this which explains the rates:

Hope this helps!
