Hi there,
I am stuck on a question in my Diploma - it just asks 'what is a guideline' and that is all! What could it be referring to? This unit has mostly been about development and involving children. I have contacted my course provider but they have not answered, so maybe its a stupid question. It has a minimum of 75 words, so its not a simple definition. Please help

What is a guideline?
Re: Promote children's agency - what are guidelines
Guideline
A guideline is a statement by which to determine a course of action. A guideline aims to streamline particular processes according to a set routine or sound practice. Guidelines may be issued by and used by any organization to make the actions of its employees or divisions more predictable, and presumably of higher quality.
