Legal Requirements For A Short Excursion

Childcare worker tells you that she plans to take a group of 3 to 4 years old on an outling to the post office. she asks you for advise on what she needs to take into consideration. what legal requirements would we need to work within when planning and conducting on a short excursion?
what legal requirements would we need to work within when planning and conducting such an outling?

could you please help me pls...

Hi WinP,

Each service would need to refer to the current legislation to create a policy or procedure for excursions. Currently in QLD, this would refer to the Child Care Act 2002 and Child Care Regulations 2003. Perhaps someone at the service you are working/volunteering with may be able to direct you to what your legislation is in VIC.
