A reflective statement is a piece of writing that is normally written in hindsight, revealing the thoughts and feelings of the author on a particular subject. The writer seeks to reveal past experiences and the lessons that he or she picks from them.

Question
If I genuinely listen to children how does my practice reflect on this?

What I have got so far-
If I genuinely listen to children the way my practice reflects on this would be by documenting the interactions and conversations with the children. Once the educators have documented the learning experience and reflect on it they will be able to consider different strategies to improve that particular learning experience as we are striving for the best practice.

You could also maybe include something like -

I show an interest in what they say, I use my body and facial expressions to let them know I am eager to hear what they say, I look at them while they are speaking, I ask questions...
