CHCLEG001 - Legal and Ethical Consideration Within The Community

Post by roxy123 » Sun May 15, 2016 5:09 pm

I am overwhelmed with this question: An example just to get me started......

What are some legal and ethical considerations (international, national, state/territory, local) for people working in the community services and health context, how they are applied in organisations, how these impact individual workers, and the consequences of breaches?
• children in the workplace
• continuing professional education
• discrimination
• dignity of risk
• duty of care
• human rights
• Universal declaration of human rights
• relationship between human needs and human rights
• frameworks, approaches and instruments used in the workplace
• informed consent
• mandatory reporting
• practitioner/client boundaries
• privacy, confidentiality and disclosure
• policy frameworks
• records management
• industrial relations legislation relevant to employment conditions of role
• work role boundaries – responsibilities and limitations

I think you may need to refer to the Code Of Ethics and the National Regulations for each of the points above:

ECA Code Of Ethics
National Regulations

HI please provide some help with this question
. Conduct independent research to determine the legal and ethical factors (international, national, state and local) that need to be considered regarding to discrimination, human rights and rights and responsibilities of workers, employers and clients. When researching consider the relationship between human needs and human rights and the frameworks, approaches and instruments used in the workplace.
- Explain the impact of these factors on individual workers and explain the likely consequences of:
*breaches of discrimination legislation.
*infringement of human rights including the universal declaration of human rights.
*not supporting client, worker and employer rights and responsibilities in the workplace.
