What is your answer so far or What have you done so far as an attempt to solve this question?
Questions

Identify and discuss 3 key requirements of the service/centre policies and legislations that relate to the performance of your work role and where/how to access them.
When working in childcare we must adhere to the service/centre's policies and procedures manual which is a list of documents under legislation and regulatory requirements that guides us in our decisions.
The policy and procedure manual provide us with an outline and procedure to follow when working in the centre.
Such as: administering medications, sun safety, guiding behaviour, food handling etc.
These policies and procedures are all related to our work role when working with children and we must read and follow them in order to do our job appropriately and ethically.
On where and how to access them they are available at every early childhood setting.
Policies, procedures and records and the display of information that relate to the performance of your work role and how to access them.
Under section 172 of the Education and Care Services National Law Act 2010 (National Law) and section 173 of the Education and Care Services National Regulations 2011 (National Regulations), services must display:
• their provider and service approvals
• contact details for the Regulatory Authority (department)
• their rating information:
Services that have not been assessed and rated against the National Quality Standard must display:
A notice that states 'Provisional - Not Yet Assessed under the National Quality Framework', until the service receives its first NQF rating.
The service's National Child Care Accreditation Council (NCAC) accreditation if the service was accredited by NCAC before the introduction of the NQF on 1 January 2012.
Services that have been assessed and rated against the National Quality Standard must display their notice of rating.
• the name of the educational leader at the service
• the name and telephone number of the person at the service to whom complaints may be addressed
• the name and position of the responsible person in charge of the service at any given time.
• the name of the Nominated Supervisor
• the service's hours and days of operation
• if applicable, a notice stating that a child enrolled in the service has been diagnosed as at risk of anaphylaxis
• if applicable, a notice of an occurrence of an infectious disease at the service
• emergency and evacuation floor plan and instructions information about the educational program
• a weekly menu - if food and beverages other than water are provided.
Policies and procedures
The National Regulations require services to prepare and maintain a range of policies and procedures.
These are the key requirements of the service/centre policies and legislations that relate to the performance of your work role and where/how to access them.

2. What are 5 responsibilities an authorised supervisor has within your service type and state?
1. Educational programs by ensuring educational programs are: based on and delivered in accordance with an approved learning framework. Based on the developmental needs, interests and experiences of each child. Designed to take into account the individual differences of each child.
2. Supervision and safety of children by ensuring children are adequately supervised, are not subject to discipline, and are protected from harms and hazards.
3. Entry to and exit from the premises by ensuring children do not leave the education and care service premises except in accordance with the National Regulations (for example, with a parent, on an authorised excursion, or for emergency medical treatment) and ensuring that a parent of a child being educated and cared for by the service may enter the service premises at any time when the child is being educated and cared for by the service except when: permitting entry would pose a risk to safety of the children and staff or conflict with the duty of the supervisor under the National Law or the supervisor is aware the parent (as defined in the National Law) is not at the service while children are present unless the person is under direct supervision.
4. Food and beverages by ensuring adequate health and hygiene practices and safe practices for handling, preparing and storing food are implemented at the service to minimise risk to the children. And by ensuring children being cared for by the service have access to safe drinking water at all times and are offered food and beverages on a regular basis throughout the day and by ensuring that where food and beverages are supplied by the service, they are: nutritious and adequate in quantity, chosen with regard to the dietary requirements of individual children. And ensuring that, where food and beverages are provided by the service, a weekly menu that accurately describes the food and beverages to be provided is displayed at the premises in a location accessible to parents.
5. Administration of medication by ensuring that medication is not administered to a child being cared for by the service unless the administration is authorised (except in the case of anaphylaxis or asthma emergency) and is administered in accordance with the National Regulations. Where medication is administered to a child without authorisation in a case of an anaphylaxis or asthma emergency, ensuring at a parent of the child and emergency services are notified as soon as possible.
There is many more responsibilities such as Prescription and non-prescription drugs and alcohol, Sleep & Rest, Excursions, Staffing.

3. Can you give an example of a compliance requirement in response to licensing regulations?
The department is responsible for the approving, licensing and monitoring of early childhood education and care services to ensure these services continuously meet the minimum quality standards for early childhood education and care services, as stated in the applicable legislation, in areas such as:
• qualifications of staff
• number of staff required to care for children
• educator to child ratios
• policies and procedures
• activities and experiences offered to children
• health and safety for children
• equipment
• buildings, facilities and space
• information provided to parents/carers or guardians

4. How are regulations arrived at and how can you participate in the review process?
By participating in the Regulation Impact Statement for early childhood education and care quality reform.

5. How could you demonstrate your commitment to the principle of access and equity in an early childhood environment?
How I could demonstrate my commitment to the access and equity in my environment could be by including Children from non-English speaking backgrounds are encouraged to maintain their cultural and linguistic identity and to participate in the larger community.
By providing information that is both culturally and linguistically appropriate.
The participation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children is encouraged.
By ensuring the premises are accessible to children with disabilities.

7. What systems should be in place at your centre to monitor and ensure compliance with regulations?
I have no idea for this question :(

8. When do staff have the opportunity to discuss, clarity regulatory requirements.
Staff should be able to discuss and seek clarity at any given time with their nominated supervisor or director to discuss regulatory requirements.

9. How can you monitor the ongoing commitment to quality care across a child care centre?
By establishing , maintaining and monitoring the quality within the service. By professionalism and ensuring the service is meeting professional standards.

ongoing review and update of procedures
ongoing staff training
regularly gathering feedback and suggestions from all stakeholders

How can you monitor the ongoing commitment to quality care across a child care centre?
by providing professional development workshops to educators
discussing any concerns or issues with educators
ensure educators have goals they can work towards

Scenario
During the development of your quality improvement plan the committee of parents and staff decide that there was a perceived weakness in the behaviour management system/practices being implemented at the centre. In particular the weakness related to the ongoing problems that one child's aggressive outburst are having upon other children and staff.

Questiions and what I have answered so far:

What can you do about this weakness?
Revise the service Behaviour Management policy and procedure.
Collaborate with staff/supervisors/ managers/director to work together to strategies’ how the service can develop and improvement plan to minimise the ongoing problem.
Talk with the child’s parent regarding the behaviour they are displaying whilst in care. Strategies and plan to work together in partnership to help address this issue.
Where could you gain support/advise?
Staff can access support through training in different methodologies to manage unsociable and unacceptable behaviours.
Support and Advice through external agencies in the identification and management of unacceptable behaviours.
What funding is available to support the centre and particularly the child?
Inclusion and Professional Support Program
Inclusion Support helps child care services to include children with additional needs in child care.
Intervention Support Program (Young Children with Disabilities) provides supplementary support towards the cost of delivery of educational services for children with disabilities. This programme supports learning and educational development opportunities for children with disabilities who are below school age and are attending non-Government, non-profit early childhood settings, which prepare them for, or support their integration into regular preschools and schools.
The Supporting Children with Additional Needs (SCAN) programme provides funding to Community Services-funded preschools, occasional care and vacation care services.
Early childhood intervention services in your area.

What type of support can be offered to the centre and staff?
this question above I am really struggling to answer :( any guide for this one please :)
