Your Question?
Give details of the child’s age and background and the type of children’s service where the child is (or will be) enrolling. This is needed, even though you may be working on a hypothetical scenario, as the marker must have a context for the child’s likely level of development, and that of the other children in the group - in order to assess the effectiveness of your plan.

Develop a written plan, for including this child into your children’s service and providing support over a period of time. The way you set out your plan will depend on the child’s particular need. This could range between a high, ongoing need for support or moderate needs.

Your starting point should be the time when the child’s family first expressed interest in your service. Your end-point should be when the child has been enrolled for a sufficient length of time so that development and progress can be documented.


What is your answer so far or What have you done so far as an attempt to solve this question?

Child’s name: Alex
Child’s age: 5 years old
Background:
Middle socio economic status parents
Dad works, Alex* has previously stayed at home full time with mum
1 older sister and newborn (5 weeks old) twin brothers
Recent (2 months) diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder
Mild form of ASD
Type of children’s service: Goodstart Early Learning - Pre-prep room, 5 days a week

Prior to starting:
Have Alex in for a number of transition/observation days
A number of meetings with the parents about what Alex likes/dislikes
Use a developmental checklist to gauge where Alex is at in regards to social, intellectual, physical development.
Have a meeting with the ISP person, centre director and educators in the same room as Alex


Description and Message:
Hi, I am struggling to find an example or write a written plan for inclusion of a child with additional needs. I have put what I think is on the right track down, but I just can't find a written plan or anything to help me.

ANY help would be great! This is due in 5 hours! :sweating: :wtf:
