hi I have just started as casual assistant in a new childcare centre. before this I worked as a group leader. I have one year experience and i am diploma qualified. What should be my pay rate as a casual? i have also started Grad diploma in early childhood equivalent to bachelors. how can this qualification help my pay raise. thanks

Depends on the centre I think. At my centre you would be on roughly $25.16 p/h

As a casual assistant with a Diploma qualification you will be on Level 3.4 and your minimum hourly wage is $28.33/per hour. In regards to your Grad Diploma, you could try and get a position as an ECT within a centre and this may increase your pay...

Hope this helps,
