Hi Karen,

As a diploma trained you will be a Level 4 - Children's Service Employee.

More info: Levels For Childcare Wages

In regards to your pay, your minimum hourly wage is (based upon the Children's Services Award 2010:

Commencing as a diploma qualified $23.12/ per hour.
First year as a diploma qualified increases to $23.48/ per hour.
Two years or more as a diploma qualified is $23.83/ per hour.

More info: Childcare Wages In Australia

With the above hourly wage this is the minimum you can receive from your employer. You are able to get more depending on a variety of other factors and depending on the centre itself and what they are offering.

Hope this helps,

:geek:,

Depends what award you work under and also if your workplace pays award or above award. Casuals also get higher rates.
