Can I study a Masters while completing a Cert III traineeship?

Hi there!

I'm due to start my Masters in Teaching (Early Childhood Education) next year in Feb. However, I really want to get started with my learning early. I thought it would be cool if I could try and get a traineeship for Cert III so I can work & study. Is it possible to do both at the same time? Will anywhere actually take me on knowing I'll also be doing my Masters?

For info I will be studying my Masters part time.

It's great to hear you're eager to get started in the industry!

As for completing a traineeship while doing your masters, from what I understand a Cert 3 traineeship is only available to those who haven't studied before. Since you will also be completing your masters the traineeship may not apply to you.

However, you can study a cert 3 certificate, work casually while you complete your Cert 3 and degree.
