FDC Provider or FDC Educator. Please HELP!!!

Post by ole » Tue Feb 27, 2018 12:34 pm

Hi everyone

Could you please let me know the difference when you apply for an approved FDC Provider and a FDC Educator?

I would like to know these information:
1. where you should go to apply
2. procedure/ time / requirements

Thanks in advance for your help!
Ole

Hi Ole,

The provider is the Family Day Care scheme educators work through. They are responsible for dealing with all the regs and giving us support and paying us the money from centrelink, sometimes finding us children to care for. Educators are the ones that take care of the children in our own homes. As far as the other information you should be able to easily google those things. For an educator you need to have started work on your cert 111 to start work, blue cards take a while to come through, then all the other requirements depend on the scheme as to how long they take. You can apply at any FDC scheme anywhere not necessarily near to you but a close one means you can get physical help if you need it.

All the best
