Writing An Observation For A Baby

Post by ilanafritz » Sun Mar 15, 2015 6:26 am

Can anyone help me at giving me an answer for example if you observe a baby who hasn't got communication skills yet how can you write out an observation about a baby for instance a jotting, anecdote, running record and a learning story.
Thank you.
Regards
Anne

When writing observations you are basically recording all the details that you see.... With a baby even though they may not "talk", you are still able to write down what they are doing during the observation period. Babbling, crawling, reaching for toys, waving their hands etc. these are just some of the gestures a baby will do.

In your previous topic I have given you links on where you can find written examples of the different observation methods, so have a read through it:

Writing Observations

You can also find an example of an observation for a baby in the sample photo ob template from this site:

Hope this helps,
