Firstly regardless of anything all strategies should be revisited, as unless revisited how would you know if they were effective and you were achieving the outcomes you wanted? Like anything things change and strategies may work in some situations or with a certain group of people, while not with others.
Sometimes it helps if you think of the question more broadly or in terms other than the aboriginal & TSI setting....eg..if you were working in an area that had a majority of say Chinese families, what would be the benefits of having Chinese health workers and interpreters?
Local persons know the culture and the religious/spiritual sensitivities of their people as well as being able to just converse in a persons native language is a huge bonus, especially in cases where important information may need to be communicated and you need to make sure the other person has fully understood what is being conveyed to them and vice versa.
