Please help me on this one. Not sure if I'm on a right track.
1.How do we demonstrate in the program that we value children’s ideas, thinking and interests?
Children need to know we value their ideas, thinking and interest. We should show appreciation using verbal praise. Using nonverbal communication is also important to shows our appreciation to them. Facial expression is one example of nonverbal communication which means the most of them. be sure to look at them smile and use pleasant voice when responding to their ideas.
2. How do we get to know about each child and their strengths, abilities and interests?
By getting informations about them from their parents and create a 'personal information form' that include child interest, abilities and strength. We have to provide different planned activities that will extend their interest and to know more their strength and abilities. For example, if we discovered that the child interest in dinosaur, we provide an activity that related on dinosaurs like reading books, colouring, singing and dancing.
