I am really stuck on it and I can't hand my unit in till I get it right :(

What is your answer so far or What have you done so far as an attempt to solve this question?
Do I put if the child is un well or not feeling the best or like their normal self, then maybe the observe can't put a record in, as the child doesn't normally act like that

I think the question is asking you,

What might prevent the educator from observing and recording information.

You could write something like, there isn't enough staff on the floor therefore not leaving you adequate time to writw or record the observation, which may also cause you to forget about the observation all together; having no record of it.

Or not having proper templates, procedures for recorsing observations or the day's activities.

Hope that helps, or makes sense.

=D

Yep moosemash is spot on - it is asking about you as the educator - what could affect your ability to observe and record. This can come down to many things, you may plan to observe children during the afternoon session but a child comes down unwell, you are interrupted constantly by visitors, the activity you wanted to observe the child doing did not happen, you are feeling unwell yourself... lots of different reasons.
Hope this helps
